The Majestic Metro is downtown Houston’s Premier Event Venue.  Built in 1926 by renowned architect, William Ward Watkin, Houstonians flocked to see the stars of the day come to life on the huge silver screen at this beautifully appointed movie palace.

The Majestic Metro is located in the heart of vibrant downtown Houston.  Located in historic Market Square Park, surrounded by the Arts District, Minute Maid Park, and minutes from the George R. Brown Convention Center, Discovery Green, and Toyota Center they are the perfect location to showcase your event.  Steps away from the light-rail line, your guests can be at their front door in minutes from any location in downtown Houston (and the museum district).

During the 1980’s the classic movie palaces in downtown Houston were razed for the burgeoning boom of downtown high rise buildings.  Houston was growing, moving forward, but leaving the historic properties of yesteryear as a casualty to progress.

In the mid-1980’s The Majestic Metro was ready for demolition when a group of partners rescued the building from the wrecking ball.  Then began the restoration of the property, a property that would be enjoyed by Houstonians for years to come.   In 1990 The Majestic Metro hosted our first grand event and 25 years later we are still hosting the events Houston is talking about.
